I first dipped my toe into the world of multisport with the ETC Aquathlon Series and Exe Valley Tri in 2007, from then mostly sprint and standard distance, including some age group racing on the closed road ITU race in Leeds.

I first joined the committee in 2015 picked up organising the Aquathlon series in 2018, occupying various positions on the committee and becoming chair in 2021.

“I got involved in the tri club in 2019, having been a member briefly several years earlier. I initially joined as I wanted to swim with a group, but then started doing some of the other activities. The Sunday morning bike rides really helped improve my bike confidence after a fall from my bike and it was great to ride with people who knew the routes and how to change an inner tube! Various injuries have meant competing in triathlons has been on the backburner for me… maybe this year is my year?!
I’ve met some great people at the club so now taking over the reins as social secretary and hopefully meet lots more of you!”

I was introduced to triathlon at primary school however my first race at the age of 8 didn’t quite go to plan. I got a puncture on the bike and eager to make up places forgot to take my helmet off for the run! Nonetheless many many years later I’m still learning and enjoy being involved in many different areas of the sport. As a competitor, a club committee member, and as a British Triathlon technical official at local events.
